July update: Photo sharing and new discover page

The July update brings our #1 customer requested feature: Photo Sharing. With photo sharing you can:

  • •Ask your character to generate images, like selfies, scenes, or whatever you can imagine
  • •Send photos to your character directly in chat
  • •Keep the conversation going in a more visual, creative and playful way

You can ask for photos naturally during conversation and your character will use the context of the chat to generate a photo. Alternatively we have a manual request image button in the chat you can use at any time to get a specific photo that you describe.

Our 2nd big update is a revamped discover page that should make it much easier to find new public characters. You can filter by category type as well as browse the most popular, newest or trending characters. We think this should make it much easier to find new and interesting characters to interact with.

Feature Enhancements & New Features:

  • •Photo Sharing (Beta): You can now request and receive images of characters directly within your chat or use the manual photo request feature.
  • •Image Upload: You can now upload images (JPG, PNG, GIF up to 15MB) from your device into the chat for the character to interpret and respond to.
  • •Redesigned Discovery Page: New categories have been added to the Discover tab, including "Popular," "Trending," "New Characters," and various other categories to improve character discoverability.
  • •Automatic Tagging: New public characters automatically tagged by category.
  • •Improved Voice Chat: Enhanced realism and natural dialogue.
  • •Wizard improvements: Character creation wizard has retry and basic error handling now

Bug Fixes:

  • •Avatar Performance: Chat avatars no longer reload with every message.
  • •Discover Icon: Magnifying glass icon correctly highlights on load.
